Abstract

For transfer of a sound on radiochannels the format of compression MPEG is used. Adjusting Reed-Solomon code finds out single mistakes in heading of the compressed staff. At increase of a level of noise in the satellite channel and growth of probability of a mistake perr>10-5 it is not enough of these protection. Between the next staff of format MPEG there is a statistical communication. Redundancy in the compressed staff allows to correct dangerous (catastrophic) mistakes in headings of the staff. Correction of mistakes will lower requirements to quality of the channel, having finished allowable probability of mistakes up to perr=10-3. It is equivalent to a prize in the relation signal / noise on 2 dB.

Keywords: single mistakes, residual redundancy of the compressed staff in format MPEG, correction of catastrophic mistakes.
