Abstract

The envelope of signals with multiposition modulation at the output of the modulator is characterized by a large crest factor (significant dynamic range). Together with the non-linear properties of the power amplifier, it causes in-band interference, nonlinear distortion and out-of-band radiation of the transmitting system. It is significantly complicating the transmission conditions both in the base frequency band, and on neighboring frequency channels. An important requirement for transmission paths is to ensure high energy efficiency, as this reduces energy consumption costs and increases the service life of active elements. Therefore, for communication systems using multi-position signals, it is necessary to increase the linearity of the transmission path while reducing power consumption. The effectiveness of applying methods for compensating distortions that occur in power amplifiers for narrow-band signals by means of simulation is considered in order to increase the linearity of the transmission path. A comparison of methods for compensating digital distortions by comparing models of pre-distortion devices is presented.
