Abstract

In this paper traffic control algorithms in cellular networks are considered: the basic types of handovers, directed retry and methods of dual band networks development, practical results of their application and tuning on a part of GSM network are listed, recommendations on usage of the considered methods are specified.

Keywords: cellular networks, GSM, handovers, dual band, directed retry.
